5.0 Build 4484 Released

AI Assistants

We have launched an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server for ActivityInfo, enabling AI assistants like Claude, ChatGPT, Mistral, and Gemini Enterprise to connect directly to your databases. Instead of exporting data and pasting it into a chat, your assistant can explore forms, run pivot analyses, enter and edit records, build reports, and manage translations within the permissions of the user who authorized it.

Key points:

    • Opt-in per database, disabled by default; a database owner must explicitly enable it under Database Settings > Security.

    • No new access is granted: an assistant only ever sees and does what the connecting user’s role already allows, plus a read-only/read-write scope you choose at authorization time.

    • Full visibility and control: review every connected assistant, see when it last accessed data, and revoke access at any time from Account Settings > Authorized Applications.

    • Everything is audited: actions taken by an assistant are logged against the authorizing user’s account.
