Last week we have released a new version that contains even more improvements for the Matrix view and various bug fixes. See the list down below for more details.
Improvements
-
You can now add multiple rows to a matrix view at once, instead of one at a time.
-
Matrix views can now hide columns that are irrelevant for a given row, instead of showing them as blocked/disabled cells.
-
Matrix views can now be exported to Excel exactly as they’re displayed on screen.
-
The MCP server’s form building tools (
addForm, addFields, insertFields, updateFields, listFields) now support designating key fields — serial number fields are automatically treated as keys — and setting validation, relevance, and required rules using ActivityInfo formulas. Formulas are validated on save, with clear feedback if a rule is invalid.
Bug fixes:
-
Addressed an inline table bug where filling down or pasting values into more than one lookup column of a reference field at once could fail to resolve the reference.
-
Fixed an issue in data entry where reviewer-only fields were displayed with borders to non-reviewer roles.
-
Addressed a server error that occurred when submitting a draft record together with a related draft record.
-
Fixed an issue where starting a new automation from a form’s Automations tab did not preselect that form as the trigger, requiring users to pick it again.
-
Improved performance for forms with a large number of fields by removing duplicate relevance columns from table and record panel queries, which were inflating query size and slowing down table views, record panels, and printing — especially on tablets.
-
Fixed an issue where exporting a report to Excel failed if the pivot table.
-
Resolved an issue where the app did not automatically sync an updated form schema after coming back online.
-
Addressed an issue in the form designer where the Duplicate/Delete menu for a field could be used while another field’s card was still open.
