When I set-up validation rules, how to adjust the default error message?
The specific example is a validation rule on the Intake take, instead of the default error message “The value you’ve entered doesn’t meet the validation criteria.” How can I change it?

The validation error message is automatically generated based on the rules defined for the field. Currently, there is no way to create a custom validation error message.

I can see that for some validation rules, i.e, age, the error message is more “customerised”, instead of the defalut “The value you’ve entered doesn’t meet the validation criteria.”
The issue with this defalut error message is that, it doesn’t help the respondents to understand how to corrent their input, they only know that the input is wrong…
The validation rule I set-up is DATE, with validation formula [Intake date] <= TODAY(). My workaround is to add “The selected date must be today or earlier” in the the Description Filed of this question.
However, the aim is to also have the error message indicates “The selected date must be today or earlier”, so it better guides the respondants to correct their input.
What are the design of the error message when the validation rule is about Date?
